Gold accents, luxurious marble, and wood tone elements fashion these two uber stylish family home designs. Two very different living spaces will be shown, each with a unique light and luxe aesthetic. We’ll also see two stunningly stylish kitchen designs. Luxurious marble, gold, and wood tones are carried through into a variety of bedroom designs, including a charming kids room with antique roses and arch elements. Bathrooms are the best, as they make use of small dimensions and high-end finishes. There are many custom furniture options and striking feature walls that can be used to inspire.
Visualizer: Quadro Room
This home design began as two apartments, measuring 33 and 74 square metres. These two properties were combined and reconfigured to fit a young couple with two children. The living room is inspired by French classic apartments and features a chic palette that includes white marble, gold and wood tones. The living room features a luxurious marble feature wall. Round coffee tables bring the design into the center of the room.
Chic bookcases rise at either side of the white marble clad TV wall. Staggered shelves are decorated with gold candlessticks and decorative vases. Above the TV-mounted wall screen, a gold wall sconce shines.
A designer living room chair is upholstered in pure white fabric for a high-end look that ties in with the marble accents.
A modern fireplace divides the lounge area from the kitchen diner. The bespoke dining table is lit by a striking dining room chandelier.
Wooden casings draw attention to the deep set windows, giving them an attractive and bespoke finish that coordinates handsomely with the kitchen that spans the opposite wall.
A large glass vase makes a light-reflective table centrepiece, which is filled with elegant white buds.
A gold sink makes stunning contrast against the white marble countertop. The kitchen layout is simplified by an induction hob and integrated extractor.
An extra bedroom was added to the apartment to accommodate all of the family members. Although storage areas were reduced, the master bedroom with ensuite and dressing area was preserved. The focal point of each bedroom is a modern chandelier and soothing colour scheme of beige, milky white and grey.
Wood chevron flooring runs throughout each bedroom and living space in the family apartment.
Wood flooring is switched out in the shower room, in favour of white marble tile that can run seamlessly into the wet zone.
In this luxurious bedroom design, wall mounted units are lit along their base to exaggerate the floating effect.
Decorative covering maintains the classic apartment aesthetic.
The second bathroom expands upon the marble clad decor scheme with a bespoke pedestal sink design.
Designer: Tsaunya Design
Our second home design features a fully open plan living space and staircase arrangement. The living area is softly defined by a beige rug. Two modern, colour-coordinated sofas define the perimeter.
A gold designer table lamp adds atmospheric light upon a black side table that is integrated into the contrasting cream sofa.
The black table accent inspires a black upholstered lounge chair with ottoman over in the reading corner. The unique floor lamp adds the gold element.
Four upholstered dining chairs are teamed with a bespoke dining table design that is shaped around a small kitchen peninsula that houses the sink.
Three racetrack-shaped dining room pendant lights drip gold accents over the eating area to give it a bolder presence in the open plan arrangement.
In the home entryway, a round mirror is situated above a simple white floating console unit to fashion a practical dressing and drop zone by the front door.
Decorative gold wall hooks are mounted at one side of a row of hallway storage units, whilst a stylish entry stool and full-length mirror are situated at the other.
Inside the master suite, a platform bed has a floating effect over a plush grey bedroom rug.
A white marble headboard wall separates the sleep space from the dressing area.
Pale grey bed covers perfectly match the subtle shade of the bedroom rug.
A floating vanity table is mounted to the back of the marble headboard wall, which situates it conveniently beside the walk-in closet.
A beige pouf blends warmly with a wood slatted baseboard.
The wood slatted element is repeated on the ensuite bathroom vanities.
The double sink bathroom vanity features a marble shelf that continues behind the bathtub, where it fashions a towel storage unit.
A marble platform raises the bathtub off the floor, where it is framed by a wonderfully large window.
Antique rose accents and wooden arches shape the kids’ room.
A play bunk and a daybed offer flexible options for sleepovers and playdates. Find more ideas here for children’s beds.
Built-in wardrobes alternate pink and wood tone finishes.
A bedside table tucks neatly beneath the stairs that climb to the top bunk, providing a neat place for bedtime books and a wake-up alarm. See more unique desk clocks.
The final bathroom is small but beautifully formed with the texture of tiny mosaic tiles and crisp white bathroom fixtures.
