M.Judson Booksellers, the locally owned bookstore that operates inside the old courthouse building at 130 S. Main St., has just undergone a major redesign of its interior space, including updates to its Camilla Kitchen cafe and bakery.

The new interior space features a greatly expanded children’s book section, a redesigned spot for stationery and journals, and more room to sip coffee and eat pastries in the cafe area, along with other updates.

Most notably, a new mural from artist Sarah Farrar highlights the hallway to the back of the old courthouse space where the children’s section now resides.

Once merely a small coffee shop space, Camilla Kitchen has quietly grown into the culinary backbone of Greenville’s downtown literary scene, with curated dining events like the Sit Down Supper Club, Runaway Friday Wine Lunch, Great Greenville Baking Class, Books Over Drinks and more bringing renowned authors downtown to engage with locals over food from chef Teryi Youngblood Musolf.
