My Watermelon Agua Fresca recipe couldn’t have been easier. This refreshing, thirst-quenching drink is easy to make! Make a large pitcher and enjoy it while you relax on your patio or porch.

Ingredient 1 : Fresh Watermelon

You want cold ripe watermelon for this recipe. Because it is so sweet, super ripe watermelon makes great agua frisca. Can’t get watermelon? Honeydew and cantaloupe are good alternatives.

Ingredient 2 : Water

There’s no substitute here. Chilled water is best for refreshing your body. Drinking filtered water is always a better option. Make a portion of your water ice to add extra coldness.

Ingredient 3 : Lime juice

Lime juice adds just the right bit of tartness. Although fresh squeezed juice is the best, you can substitute with bottled juice in some cases.

Ingredient 4 : Agave Nectar

For additional sweetness, agave nectar blends well. You may not need it if your watermelon tastes super sweet and juicy. You can sweeten the watermelon with regular sugar.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Watermelon Agua Fresca

Time needed: 5 minutes.

Makes 8 servings

  1. Blend

    Place the watermelon and 1 1/2 cups of water in a blender and blend until smooth. watermelon in a blender

This might sound weird, but I like to use watermelon that is almost over. The texture is a bit grainy, but it’s still good. It’s probably not something you like, but it’s delicious because it’s so sweet.
